We are seeking a friendly, efficient, and reliable  Part-Time Server to join our team at our  Kava House & Cafe . If you thrive in a relaxed yet fast-paced morning and afternoon environment, love interacting with people, and want your evenings free, this is the perfect role for you! You will act as the face of our cafe, introducing guests to our breakfast/lunch dishes, traditional coffee beverage options, and our many desserts.

Schedule & Hours

• Shifts: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Days: Tuesday through Friday (You will work 3 days per week within this window)
• Status: Part-time

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Hospitality: Greet guests warmly, introduce them to our K ava House menu , and guide them through our breakfast and lunch options.
• Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders (including specialty coffee customization, and dietary requests).
• POS Operation: Input orders quickly and accurately into our  Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handle cash/card payments flawlessly.
• Food & Beverage Delivery: Serve hot breakfast items, fresh cafe beverages, and lunch dishes promptly while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Table Maintenance: Keep dining and lounge areas clean, organized, and inviting by pre-bussing tables, resetting spaces, and washing glassware.
• Side Work: Perform light opening and closing duties, such as prepping cafe stations, rolling silverware, and stocking kava supplies.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience: Previous restaurant or cafe serving experience is preferred, with a strong focus on breakfast/lunch rushes.
• POS Familiarity: Prior  experience using a POS system (e.g., Square, Toast, Clover) is highly desired.
• Speed & Efficiency: Ability to multitask and maintain a calm, positive attitude during busy morning and midday rushes.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with our community and collaborate with team members.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for the duration of a 7-hour shift.
